Morgan Freeman to star in Peter Greenaway’s “Lucca Mortis

Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman is to star in Peter Greenaway‘s “Lucca Mortis.” Filming is set for March 2020. Freeman will portray the character of a writer. Sensing that his next big adventure will very likely be with death, he decides to leave New York City where he lives and takes a sabbatical and travels with his family to Lucca, Italy. In Italy, he traces his ancestral roots and cleans up the loose ends in his life.

Freeman was born in Memphis Tenesee from American parents. He won an Academy Award in 2005 for Best Supporting Actor with Million Dollar Baby (2004), and he has received Oscar nominations for his performances in Street Smart (1987), Driving Miss Daisy (1989), The Shawshank Redemption (1994), and Invictus (2009). He has also won a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. He has also appeared in many other box office hits

Freeman and Lori McCreary will be producers through their Revelations Entertainment alongside Emanuele Moretti and Kees Kasander. Kasander has been Greenaway’s long-time producing partner.
